Rankings of Universities have existed for over a decade but in today's complex and dynamic environment, where a large number of universities have come up during last few years, it is pertinent to separate the wheat from the chaff and bring out the best Universities in the country out of close to 900 universities spread across the length and breadth of the country.

Country's most prestigious and largest-circulated weekly newsmagazine India Today has started its annual exercise of ranking Best Universities in India in association with MDRA. This survey is an attempt to set the benchmark for tracking universities that provide best education and promote research in India.

The following 4 categories of universities would be ranked:

• General
• Technical
• Medical
• Law

Universities are requested to download the requisite participation form and submit the completely filled-up form along with supporting documents by 18^th January 2019.
