Investment Climate Assessment (Informal Enterprises) – The World Bank
The study involved collection of quantitative information from 800 private corporate units in the manufacturing sector in the country with a view to gaining insights into the performance and assessment/prospect with regard to economic and industrial environment. Information about overall business situation, overall financial situation, working capital finance requirement, availability of finance, production, order books, inventory of raw materials, inventory of finished goods, capacity utilization, level of capacity utilization, assessment of the production capacity with regard to expected demand in next six months, employment, exports, imports, selling prices, rate of increase in selling prices, profit margins and production constraints was collected. |

User Satisfaction and Corruption In Trucking Operations- Transparency International India
The study was conducted to find the nature of problems faced by truckers and their satisfaction levels with various government departments such as transport department/ licensing authorities, police, toll, inter-state entry, octroi, sales tax, custom, traffic police, forest department, weights and measures dept etc and estimate the extent of corruption prevailing in the trucking operations. A total sample size of 1222 respondents was surveyed in 11 states spread across all the regions of the country. The findings of the survey were widely published and appreciated by various stakeholders and the media and the trucking industry. Suggestions based on these findings were also given by MDRA. |

Census Data User Satisfaction Survey – Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India
The objective of the study was to elicit the views and measure the satisfaction level of census data users from the services and data provided by the Census of India. The study undertook an exhaustive survey of 985 census data users (commercial entities, government agencies, academic institutions, NGOs etc.) in 14 urban centres across India. It was the first ever such study undertaken by the Office of the Registrar General of India. MDRA was awarded the study in view of the unique methodology developed by MDRA for this particular study. The study provided inputs for modes of data presentation (CDs, table formats etc) as well as formulated strategy for newer distribution channels for disseminating the census data. |

Farmer Survey on Minimum Support Price Operation for Jute - Jute Corporation of India Limited, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India
Considering the importance of the minimum support price operations for farmers and efforts made by Ministry of Textiles towards carrying the MSP operation smoothly, Ministry of Textile and JCI wanted to understand effectiveness of MSP operation carried in different jute-growing stated in the year 2002-03. MDRA carried out a study to evaluate effectiveness of the MSP operations in the states of West Bengal, Bihar, Assam and Andhra Pradesh. |
